In 2012, during my visit back home to Nigeria, I started consulting with the Federal Government of Nigeria on women and youth empowerment programs.

There was and continues to be rampant unemployment among women and youths in Nigeria. As a result, I began to teach them practical skills that they could use to sustain themselves.

I believed that it was not enough to just teach skills to the women and youths, but that I needed to create a marketplace to allow them employment independence where they are able to sustain their livelihoods. This resulted in an agreement with the Federal Government of Nigeria under the Amnesty Program to broaden the initiative.
